Boonstra is a wholesale business specialising in damaged vehicles, with a stock of around 1,000 vehicles. From our base in Drachten, at Drachten-Azeven business park, we buy and sell damaged vehicles to customers across Europe and the rest of the world: cars, commercial vehicles, motorcycles, caravans, motorhomes, trucks, trailers and machinery.

Three decades of growth

The company was founded in 1988 by the then 17-year-old Sjors Boonstra, as a scooter shop in Frieschepalen. In 1991, the business relocated to Ureterp and continued as Boonstra Motoren. In 2005, the trade in damaged vehicles was added, initially operating from Surhuisterveen. In 2009, the company moved to its current headquarters at Dopplerlaan 4 in Drachten. Today, we operate from four locations at Azeven business park.

Scale and international reach

Today, Boonstra has grown into the largest damaged vehicle dealer in the Netherlands. With over 30 employees, we sell more than 4,500 vehicles annually to customers in over 60 countries.

Personal and committed

Despite this growth, we maintain the personal customer service of the early days, when we sold just 15 vehicles a year. Our staff answer the phone themselves and assist you in Dutch, English and German. For buyers within the Netherlands, we can arrange delivery if required.
