Export and BPM

When purchasing a Dutch vehicle that includes BPM, this can be reclaimed upon export to another EU country. You pay this BPM to us as a deposit, and it will be refunded once the Tax Authority has processed the reclaim. This BPM can only be reclaimed by us if you provide us with a permanent registration from your own country in a timely manner—no later than 10 weeks after export. If the document is not submitted on time, the deposit will be forfeited.

Exporting My Purchase

Boonstra handles the complete administrative processing of the export. We will suspend the vehicle in your name as the buyer and provide you with the necessary documents and the vehicle ID for registration. For exports outside the EU, we prepare the customs documents and can supply export license plates, provided the vehicle is roadworthy and has a valid MOT.
